Cheesecake Anyone?

To help The Cheesecake Factory celebrate their 30th Anniversary we decided to join them for their $1.50 a slice promotion (too bad it only lasted for one day).
We made a family date of it, and feasted on four different flavors of delicious cheesecakes for our lunch.

Caleb loves cheesecake.
Joshua Stephen decided he liked the whip cream best.
I highly recommend the Chocolate Tuxedo cheesecake- it's super yummy!!!
Even after indulging on dessert, we still had cheesecake left over to box up and take home with us.

Poppa Larry comes to visit

We were so excited to have Poppa Larry and Hyang Mi come and visit us. We got to have a busy and fun filled weekend with them enjoying the sights of Saint Louis.
The boys hanging out with Poppa Larry at the Saint Louis Zoo.
We got to spend a little time touring Grant's Farm.
Poppa Larry helped Joshua Stephen feed some baby goats.
We even got to check out some dinosaurs at the Saint Louis Zoo.
The boys were so brave they took Poppa Larry for a ride on one of the dinosaurs.
Look at those teeth!
Seeing the sights at the zoo.
Stopping just long enough to smell the flowers (and snap a picture, of course).
We found an elephant on our safari.
Poppa Larry giving Joshua Stephen a little boost.
We got to see some really big Clydesdale horses at Grant's Farm.
We just happened to visit the Missouri History Museum on national ice cream day. As a surprise treat, the North Star Ice Cream penguin was there handing out yummy ice cream treats.
Joshua Stephen posing as fighter pilot. Doesn't he look cool!
Mommy and Caleb also got to go for a ride in a fighter plane.
Joshua Stephen sharing his toy guns with Poppa Larry.
Having fun at a near by park.
All in all it was a fast paced and fun filled weekend. My favorite part was just getting to spend time with my Daddy and watch him love on my two favorite little guys. We had so much fun and we were all sad to see our Poppa Larry and Hyang Mi leave. We just can't wait til' we get to see them again.

My Little Climber

While we were at the zoo Caleb took the initiative to thoroughly explore the seal sculpture.
He started out by walking around the exhibit, and then he decided to take a closer look by climbing up on it.
He was so proud of himself that he gave out a little squeal and started to clap.
He decided to play "you can't catch me" with Poppa Larry.
If only Caleb could read I am sure he never would have had such a big adventure.

Botanical Gardens Fun

This summer we have been enjoying some Wednesday night concerts at the Botanical Gardens. The boys love to go and run around, and we enjoy all of the festivities and the fun atmosphere the Botanical Gardens offer.
Joshua Stephen's favorite part is the fountains. He loves to run in and out of the water like a crazy little man.
Caleb trying to keep up with his big brother.
I think I can catch this water- if it will just hold still.
Enjoying some snuggle time with Daddy.

Caleb just lounging around.
Daddy helping "Super Caleb" fly.
It is always so fun to do the Botanical Gardens with friends. Here's Joshua Stephen playing on one of the kid friendly sculptures with one of his favorite friends Alex.
Right now the Botanical Gardens is hosting a pretty unusual sculpture exhibit.
Joshua Stephen hanging out inside the crazy skull.
There is also a wonderful children's garden and playground that Joshua Stephen loves to visit.

Sal comes to visit

On her way (or really more out of her way) home from Branson, Sweet Salena came and visited us here in Saint Louis. Sal was sweet enough to come and visit us just after we moved to Saint Louis two years ago and it was so fun to have her back now that we are a little more settled.
I just couldn't resist taking her to some of Saint Louis's well known attractions. Here we are with Thomas Jefferson at the Museum of Westward Expansion.
We learned it's really hard to fit the whole Saint Louis arch into one picture (at least from where we were standing).
It was so much fun getting to spend some quality time with my Sweet Sal. And don't you know the boys just love their Aunty Sal.
